The history of  Klondike Solitaire

Solitaire first appeared in Europe and then, gaining unprecedented popularity, then continued its way west, to conquer North and South America.
On the continent Klondike Solitaire has acquired many fans, there were new variations of the game.
And at a time when gambling was prohibited in America, Klondike Solitaire was used as a gambling game. A lucky player could get $ 500, a lot of money for those days. Willing to try their fate, it was enough.
But then the game is forgotten a bit, and its second birth was in the 1990s, when there was a computer version. Initially, the game included in the operating system Windows, to teach people to use the mouse. Klondike Solitaire has immediately attracted the attention and interest of players, and after a couple of years there was no one who has not tried to play solitaire.

Title (Klondike Solitaire)

Klondike Solitaire owes its name to Klondike Mountain.
In times of gold rush in the Klondike area miners played solitaire to pass the time and distractions in the heavy passages. The arrangement of the cards in a solitaire game resembled the shape of the Klondike mountain, so the name Klondike Solitaire.

The goal of the game

To win in the game you need to fill the four cells with cards stacked in a certain sequence: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen and King. The ace is the youngest card in the game, and the king is the oldest. And the stacks of cards must be of the same suit. Four stacks of cards - four suits.
Difficulty

There are two levels of difficulty for Klondike Solitaire:
  Klondike Solitaire Turn 1.
  Klondike Solitaire Turn 2.
The only difference is that Klondike Solitaire Turn 1 deals one card each from the spare deck, but Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 deals three cards at once. This small difference significantly complicates the game and reduces the chances of a winning game.
In Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, only every third card participates in the draw. To take advantage of the first and second cards in the deal, you must move the third card to the playing field. Your probability of winning is immediately tripled.  This difficulty level requires a certain amount of gaming experience and tactical skills.
Klondike Solitaire Turn 1 is a quieter, more relaxed version. One card is dealt from the spare deck, and you can play it immediately. The spare deck can be used an unlimited number of times per game. The probability of winning in Klondike Solitaire Turn 1 is very high. And if you use the turn reversal feature, almost every deal will be a win-win.
It's also possible to make the game more difficult for yourself by limiting the number of cards from the spare deck to three or one deal. This is not recommended if you're just starting to become familiar with the game.

Layout

Play Klondike Solitaire with a full deck of 52 cards, excluding jokers. Decompose the cards into seven columns from left to right. In each subsequent column, the number of cards increases by one.
The cards are laid out closed, and the last cards in the columns open, it is from them we open the drawing.
We begin with the first column, there will be only one card, we can place it face up. In the second column there are two cards, in the third column there are three, and so on up to the seventh column, which will have seven cards.
The remaining cards are stacked in the supply deck face down. One or three cards are opened from the supply deck, depending on the difficulty level you choose. Once all of the stockpile cards are uncovered, the deck is turned over and the cards continue to be dealt.
There are four cells at the top of the game board. Fill them out, starting with an ace and stack the sequence in ascending order, closing with a king. Each cell is filled with cards of only one suit. When you have collected the cards in four cells - you win!

When playing Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, try to move cards onto the playing field from a spare deck. Then the order of the cards in the spare deck will change and you will have access to new cards.
Use the undo button when a mistake is made, or when you have a choice between two moves.

Points System

The basic rules are adopted for awarding points for moving cards on the game table:

Transferring a card from the stock deck to the table 5 points
Transferring a card to a cell from the game board's stack or column 10 points
For returning cards from a cell on the game board 15 points.

But the main evaluation criterion is the time of the game.
In Klondike Solitaire tournaments, players are dealt decks mixed in the same order, cards are dealt, and the player who finishes the game faster wins.
